Case Study: Recovering a Suspended Google Ads Account

Understanding the gravity of the situation, I conducted a thorough audit of the website and campaign setup. I discovered several key issues triggering the suspension:
Overwhelming promises on the landing page (e.g., “break 1M” type statements).
Missing business details like physical address and proper contact information.
Copy-pasted reviews from other sites, which raised authenticity red flags.
Lack of essential legal pages such as Privacy Policy, Terms, Refund Policy, and Disclaimers.
📋 The Checklist & Strategy
To systematically address the problems, I created a detailed Website Compliance Checklist, which included:
Adding a clear business phone number and email address.
Displaying a physical business address or clear explanation of virtual operations.
Including Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, and Disclaimer pages.
Expanding the About Us page with:
Company’s founding date.
Mission and core values.
Brief bios of key team members.
Removing or rephrasing overpromising language to set realistic expectations.
Ensuring all testimonials were genuine, removing any suspicious or generic reviews.

The Execution
I worked closely with the client’s design and content team to redesign the landing page in line with Google’s policies.
Guided the team on writing unique, honest content instead of rephrased competitor lines.
Ensured every compliance item was checked off before submitting the appeal.
🎉 The Result
After implementing the improvements, I filed an appeal with Google, providing evidence of our changes. Within a few days, we received confirmation:
“Our team has re-reviewed the account 624-107-6598 based on your appeal and we are happy to let you know that it has been reactivated.”
The Google Ads account was successfully reactivated, allowing us to resume campaigns and drive qualified leads.
